Take a look at Biden's proposal to put a 1000% tax on the AR. What's that mean? Poor people won't be able to afford them, only rich people will.
Another way for the ruling class to disarm the serf population.

I must agree wholeheartedly, since I've been saying much the same for quite some time.
Long, long ago, the Supreme Court embraced the wisdom of Noah Webster, who established the principle, "The power to tax is the power to destroy". The government is charged with the protection of the people's rights --- they are NOT given the power to tax, and consequently destroy those rights.
The Court followed that principle in ruling that no "poll tax" is constitutional, since it is a tax on the implied right of the people to vote.
Not only is the proposed tax by a Dem Representative a blatant attempt to legislate a violation of the clearly enumerated rights of the 2nd Amendment, all existing "fees" charged citizens who apply for carry permits are likewise a "tax" on a right, giving government the power to destroy that right. Those "fees" must not be charged to the citizens who apply for authorization to exercise a natural right, but all expenses imposed for the exercise of that right must be borne by all taxpayers, just as all expenses of running an election must be borne by all taxpayers, not just those members of the electorate who choose to exercise their right to vote.

I think the question for democrats would be to find out what and how much free stuff is unconstitutional. Government has only a few responsibilities. The rest is clearly stealing and buying votes.
