I think this is yet another example of people hearing what they want to hear. Each side does it. Supporters from the Clinton camp want to make her look as perfect as possible while the same can be said about the Trump camp. In the end, it is up to us, the voting public to take time and do some research into what each candidate feels about certain topics. Simply turning on the TV or reading a newspaper isn't enough. Yes, use them as sources but use them in conjunction with other sources. Use sources from both sides of the argument. I'm sure if one camp said the sky was red and the other green, each side would say the other is wrong and why their side is right when all you have to do is pull your head out of your 4th point of contact to see the answer.
