I didn't read half of it, but I read enough to know Samsung seems scared to make cheaper phones and I want a Xiaomi. Seriously, I don't spend more than $250 for a phone. I don't need a cutting edge phone. My current phone cost me $50 - Samsung S4 Zoom. If I buy a new phone, it will be below $200. You got me thinking about getting an old school Sony Erickson slider phone.

SGT (Join to see) Samsung has some very nice low cost phones here. I bought the Galaxy A5 for the wife for $200. Unfortunately their Galaxy A and J lines don't seem to be available in the US.
I tend to stick with the Nexus line of phones because they are cost effective, fast, and have no manufacturer / carrier bloat ware.

SSgt Mark Lines - I liked the looks. . .until I saw "Google" in the url. I'm a hater - I know.

SGT (Join to see) No worries, I understand. I'm the same way with any over priced product from that fruit company.

I've had each of the Samsung Notes, and now I've settled on the LG V10. I do so many things with my phone that I don't mind paying laptop prices for one, since it allows me to leave the laptop at home.

I remember during my travels in Japan, there seemed to only be 3 types of phones used. You either use some type of iPhone, Sony Ericsson, or a Panasonic flip phone. Seldom do you see any other phone. Here in the US, the most popular phones would arguably be the iPhones, Galaxy, or any other Android device.
