They still have a problem of the lack of a competent intermediate command structure ... i.e.... NCO's and Junior Officers...

Kind of like Iraqi tanks are dangerous?.....and I suspect if we have issues with our equipment due to non budgetary maintenance issues that the Russians are down to using pine gum and pitch to fix the leaks in their ships. Hell if they aren't able to get duct tape from china the crews are probably mostly occupied manning the bilges with barrel pumps.
Still dangerous if they get the drop on us...and one can never outguess sneaky or just shitass lucky..but still.
It certainly takes a navy to fight a navy but hopefully we can still maintain the upper hand.

LTC (Join to see) - If they had been it would not have been the extinguishing agent of choice. If they went down with the ship at least they died happy.

Thanks for sharing LTC (Join to see) an interesting perspective. The Black Sea Russian Navy has been vulnerable since the breakup of the Soviet Union to both the Ukraine and the narrow passage through Turkey Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits
