The slipping crown of Angela Merkel

Given Germany's checkered history of failed leadership, Chancellor Merkel has done as much as any, including Hitler, to destroy a once beautiful European country. Konrad Adenauer must be spinning in his grave at Frau Merkel's "accomplishments."

Western Europe has been slow to recognize the hazards of the "Global World", but it is now coming home to roost. The question now is how they solve their self inflicted issues.
