What's troubling is, this is the second case. I would think the government would investigate this, and force this off the market, SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.

It could at the least be investigated. I suspect thousands use Chantix. If the truth comes out, and it's proven Chantix isn't responsible, I wonder what will happen then? When I was attempting to quit years ago, I chewed the gum. Not realizing I had PTSD, I found myself smoking while chewing the gum. lol

I guess then it's just an "excuse" that US SOF Forces banned their troops from taking the antimalaria drug mefloquine due to psychological effects, that soldiers have taken for years. Or maybe drugs actually can have side effects that weren't initially identified.

Since there are only two cases out of hundreds of thousands users, I'm not so sure it has psychological effects on its own. We don't know if, in both cases, they were on some meds or drugs that didn't mix with Chantix. One of the instructions on the box suggested if you are taking other meds, check with your doctor before using.
I took Malaria drugs in Nam, and before I went. I didn't have any side effects, despite getting Malaria. I didn't know of any other troops having side effects. But, if you're in a war, and you're already whacked out, how would you know. :-)
