On of my instructors in nuke school was the COB on the nr-1. Rodger Hollingsworth, he lives 40 miles away from me here in Florida and we are pretty good friends!

Between that and the Carter, who knows for sure what shenanigans the bubbles are up to?

I worked on parts of the NR-1 in the 80's while I worked at Sperry. I had to make an accordion out of a pwr suppl assy to go down the hatch and when i went to see where it had to fit they had a tunnel shroud that only let me see the rack it went into. What a hoot that was. I also worked on the arm. One time "someone" jettisoned it and we had to do an emergency overhaul in Groton. The only thing that everyone was concerned about was if we had as many people there as the other orgs that were watching me and my leader work on it.
