I don't think it s cashless, it is just electronic transfer. Cashless socities, the barter system were in place thousands of years ago until someone figured out money as a medium of exchange.

Modern cashless society involves technological manipulation of "value".

Bitcoin, EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer), credit/cash cards, celfone apps, paypal, etc are all contributors to a cashless society.
