Saw this last year at the pool where I workout. From a former competitive swimmer's point of view, it is a bit odd looking. But who am I to disagree with the SEALS?

Had severe shin splints and had problems passing the PRT. I switched to swimming instead of running for the last 5 years. I used this stroke and had no problems with the PRT, even at the 20 year point. My first timed (practice) swim was about 20 minutes. I practiced this stroke and by the next PRT, I was swimming under 12 minutes. I eventually got it to under 11 minutes. I taught my kid this stroke before he left for the academy. P.s. I'm not a Navy SEAL, even with this stroke, I get tired after several hundred yards, but it is better than anything else. Thanks for the share.

I was reading about this earlier today & was thinking I need to give it a go. Nothing like swimming for building lung strength.
