I have been upset about this since it happened. We paid too large a price for victory in Vietnam to have some of our career elected officials turn it all around and give it up just because they were afraid they would lose a few votes rather than doing the right thing. That also cause the deaths of many innocent people.

Vietnam was a tragedy on all accounts. I truly hope that we always remember the cost of war on all sides before we recreate such a situation. Wars need to be winnable so that the suffering stops, Vietnam became essentially an unwinnable war. When we do need to get involved, we must stay the course and continue to support the military for the duration.

We could have won the War if our leadership in DC had allowed the Commanders on the scene to act in the way we should have. We always had the capabilities, we just didn't have the will.

SGT Mark Brown it really hits home in this presentation. There's so many what ifs but this clearly shows what happens when the US doesn't fulfill its commitment. It makes me appreciate all Veterans after Vietnam that much more!
