Judges swear to uphold the Constitution, just like we all did. It is an indignity to suggest that the military is the real guardian and to ignore the roles of Congress and the courts. And it is disservice to our oaths to have such contempt for judges, at least one of whom is a fire breathing conservative

Judges make decisions that are overturned all the time. As with every other profession, some are partisan, some are outstanding, and some are awful. I would place any judge or court that has an 80 percent overturn rate, in the awful category.

Once you have been confirmed to a lifetime appointment, all bets are off. These people are placed to interpret the Constitution with regard to their cases. Not to make laws.

"An indignity"?
Not sure where I wrote that "the military is the real guardian and to ignore the roles of Congress and the courts."
This year's NBA's Brooklyn Nets have a better winning percentage in comparison to the Ninth Circuit's success rate in having their rulings later overturned. Just because they have black robes don't always make them right and the "will of the people" vulnerable to those who don't have to live the ramifications of their erroneous rulings.
