What the consequences? How about corruption of due process for the purpose of achieving the overthrow of an elected President.

Here is my journalism rant on reporting on ships. Headline indicates that there is only one intel ship. Of course, headline is a bad analogy. Ships are designed to leak. Usually the leak is out of the ship. If a ship is too leaky to sail, then it's sinking and must be taken out of the water quickly. If hull has holes and out of the water, then it's not leaking. Now, I feel better.

Honestly, I really want to push back on this narrative that it's the Intelligence and Law Enforcement officials that are leaking all this info. Because most of the time it's not. Most of the people in those organizations are actually really professional and just focus doing their job (barring the very top, appointed officials obviously). If you really want to know where these leaks are coming from, look at Congress.
Usually how these leaks come about is that the agencies brief the congressional committees and then the congressmen talk about it to their staffers and it's those staffers that tend to leak stuff to the media.

MAJ Eric G Troup
Furthermore Comey lied in his Congessional testimony saying how the FBI never improperly revealed intelligence when the record shows widespread illegal distribution of intelligence.
