The only real similarity I saw to the Warthogs was one mention of a 30mm gun that they "looked at" and was never mentioned again in the article. If they do use a 30mm, it certainly won't be a GAU-8. Besides, they are calling it a flying tank, not a flying tank killer... ;-) I think a closer comparison might be to an AC-130 rather than an A-10.
