I see both pros and cons to this. Especially with people not wanting nuclear weapons in their area.

Good analysis that should have been classified. As long as our wars/conflicts remain small and conventional, carriers are great, but a full out was with China and Russia or nuclear would prove Rickover’s 48 hour estimate. The next major war will be won by undersea elements and ground pounders. JMHO
