The VA’s New Vet ID System Had A Rough Debut

Thanks PO1 Tony Holland for sharing the rather unsurprising news that the Veterans Affairs new ID card system which was piloted from June trough August 2017 and was scheduled to be launched has had rough debut.. Of coarse this was a speed bump compared to the nationwide roll-out of the Affordable Care Act network software.

Please tell me again what the benefit is in having one of these ID cards? I have been a veteran since 1977 and never once had a need to produce such identification. I know I lead a fairly sheltered life and might not have a pressing need like some vets who frequent Denny's on their birthday.

It will likely get fixed just in time to announce it's replacement.
