I have a friend in the Guard (now retired) his mother was one of those pilots. She passed down some amazing oral history.

The women did a lot of ferrying planes over and test flying. There were some that died when their planes did not perform as they were designed to do. Rest in peace my sisters.We owe a debt to those ladies. Thank you ladies for your service. I would be proud to fly with any of y’all.
