I don't think the military is weak.... I believe it is stronger than ever. The issue is our current elected and appointed leaders and their lack of vision and commitment to total victory.
This sounds like the left wing media or liberal view, not a conservative view....
I am looking forward to a positive change across the spectrum.

Take a look at defense spending by country. We spend more than all our rivals combined, and it's not even close. Yet our military's weak because we don't spend enough? Please.

Surprisingly, I agree with you. What is needed is a zero based budget process that weeds out all the extraneous items that do not support the national defense posture. More money isn't the issue, but the profligate spending on unnecessary hardware, grants, CONUS based school systems, PC items that do nothing but anger the troops and lots more that I could note.

Take any military in the world and have them project force somewhere on the other side of the planet, onto the home turf of a regional power... and then proceed to kick butt. There is only one military in the world that can do that... so weak and marginal sound a bit ridiculous. We do have some serious challenges though... we are losing our technological edge, and sustaining our military and meeting the needs of veterans is already extremely expensive.

The issue is "conservative researcher" typically researchers and scientist try hard to remove bias and not advertise bias
