One day my family and I were eating lunch. I saw a young marine SGT and decided to pay his lunch and told the waitress to keep it anonymous. We surreptitiously left the restaurant, but he tracked us down. His eyes were watering as he said thank you to me. I knew it meant more to him than to me.
