If this comand officer is so disgruntled, then why in the hell did he stay in? I admire the Offivers and NCO's who got past the bullshit and stayed in. After 2 years in, and after Nam, I knew that the military was not for me, even after I volunteered for the draft. I worked construction for over 35 years and have to put up with similar crap. In some ways the military life isn't that drifferent than civilian. In my trade any journeyman can be a foreman, General foreman, Superintendent or just a working hand on any specific job, and I have been all of them at one time or another. The higher ranks paid alittle better but werent always worth the hassle. I see some of what this officer is dealing with but there are a lot of senior officers who have dealt with these problems and didn't complain. I worked for an old German fellow in a machine shop when I was a kid, and what he said sumed it up pretty well " IF I DONT LIKE MY JOB, I QUIT" Quit wining and do your job or get out.
