Thank you my friend TSgt Joe C. for reminding us about the tensions in Little Rock over integration of schools and busing etc. That issue consumed much of the nation from Boston to Florida to Texas in the coming decades.
Just over 150 years after Marbury versus Madison states rights versus Federal rights, the issue of states rights peridocially is raised.

In 1803 Marbury v. Madison, 5 U.S. 137, was a U.S. Supreme Court case that established the principle of judicial review in the United States, meaning that American courts have the power to strike down laws, statutes, and some government actions that contravene the U.S. Constitution.

In 1973 the Supreme Court overturned state laws restricting induced abortion based on penumbral rights which never existed but the court considered a right to privacy - privacy is a slippery slope.

Very sad that this had to be done with the National Guard. I am glad that when I went to school we no longer had this going on.
