We can push, but it's in our best interest to continue to work with Pakistan to meet our objectives in Afghanistan. The money will of course get them to play ball up to a point, but diplomatic efforts to smooth things out should be the first step. At the end of the day Pakistan will have to decide what's more important; appeasing the Afghan warlords and "politicians" or the money the west offers for their continued "support".

It might be best not to push them too hard to make a clear choice, we are screwed if they decide to push their own objectives instead of ours.

So the government falls, are we expecting the next to be any better? What happens is that Pakistan dissolves into tribes and start fighting.
