I'm confused. Why buy a dedicated Linux laptop? You can just install Linux on pretty much any laptop.
The PowerPc chip is more powerful than the X86 architecture built in the 80s. Sure but any computer bought in basically the last 5 years is using X64. Hell my old Dell Inspiron 8000 released in 2000 was still a X64 architect.
