If you are going to protest do so in a manner that actually helps lift the problems you identified. Pouting while sitting on your fourth point of contact has only made people upset at him, not helped to end discrimination. Wearing a Fidel Castro picture on your T-shirt while explaining your actions reveals a lot about your lack of character, also praising black panthers (the actual hate group) on your social media status won't help your cause either. If we are ever going to rid this country of our problems it will be done through peace, respect and love like Dr. King led. Kaepernick is just a sour entitled multi-millionaire complaining about his elite life. No sympathies here.

We tried that already. Dr. King ended up being assassinated - an event the CIA was found to have a hand in - and the Black Panthers were destroyed by COINTELPRO.
The system views organized Americans as a threat, which is why we have mass media that does so much to sow discord among *ANY* line it can possibly think of. Race, gender, sexual orientation, income, political beliefs, you name it.

SSG (Join to see) Newsflash Dr. King changed the world. Certainly agree with you on the media, they all have an agenda to push and promoting economic prosperity among the middle and lower classes isn't part of it.

MAJ (Join to see) - You're right. Dr. King *did* change the world, and could have brought even more change about - which, due to the logic I explained above - is *WHY* he was assassinated.

I agree, but his assassination is a significant reason on why he was so successful. His death was a resounding wake up call to the millions of Americans who never see racism, I was completely ignorant of it until I moved to Arkansas. I was raised to treat everyone equally and had a hard time understanding that people don't see things that way. The simple fact is his methods work. Violence and hate paint the perpetrators in a bad light and really undermines their arguments. Violent protests will only make racism worse. Or as MLK said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
