There is some good advice there, but some of it struck me as implying that veterans are like children with no brain in their head. Does a veteran really need a "buddy" to help him figure out what to wear and how long to take for lunch? Good grief. Doesn't that veteran have eyes? On the first day is he incapable of watching when people go to lunch and ask when they come back?
I was the COO of a software company after I retired. If I read an article like this, I would think veterans need to be spoon fed everything like a baby., rather than someone with initiative and smarts.

These are good general tips. It's very important to get specific programs and other practical advice into these companies. Many are doing a good job but many more can do better. It starts with education.
