TN VA hospital must pay $2.5M to parents in son's wrongful death lawsuit

Not my VA, Scott, old pal. My VA in Omaha has been declared one of the top, best hospitals in the system. I know. I avail my little old self of it almost weekly. Kansas City is a fine hospital. Fargo is most excellent. Bemidji is a great facility. I've used all four of these, and I'd stake my life on any of them. I read and hear about heinous things happening at other VAMCs, like the one in this article. I still believe these mistakes are rare. Compared to malpractice-related deaths in regular hospitals, VA's issues are a drop in the bucket. 150,000 to 300,000 deaths a year!!! Every single year, and no one is screaming about that deadly reality.

SCPO (Join to see) - Fair enough...however, the only VA around here worth a damn is Tuscaloosa AL (and they are very good) and they aren't a hospital...they send you to Birmingham for all of the surgeries or specialties. Jackson MS or Memphis Montgomery AL or really any of the others around here just suck...that is why I use private practice and insurance. I just can't get passed what I have personally witnessed at these. I am glad you have some good ones...good to hear they are still out there.
