Today's Polls Are Meaningless. Biden Will Implode Come November — Newsweek

Newt is trying awfully hard to remain relevant.

It is not outside the realm of possibility that the Tara Reide allegations will torpedo VP Biden's candidacy and the DNC convention will select another candidate. Between candidate Trump and candidate Biden I would reluctantly cast my vote for Trump. But I can think of half a dozen Democrats, (none of whom ran) that I would vote for instead of Trump.

But I think there is absolutely ZERO chance that the DNC would select any of them as their candidate.

Biden has already collapsed. He is being propped up by his friends in the media and the DNC. The thing that unites them all is a hatred for Trump. The problem for Biden is he has to be able to think on his feet in debates and speak coherently etc. and he has to be able to defend his record which is anathema to much of the wokeness in the progressive movement. He hasn't cleared his "metoo" moment(s) yet either. The Bernie bro's don't really like him and neither does the AOC crowd.

Biden is a train wreck of a candidate but I think Trump and the GOP want him to remain the candidate. He is eminently beatable. That is why you see Trump telling him to defend himself against the Tara Reade charges. The last thing the GOP wants is Biden to collapse completely.

There is still a decent chance he will not be the democrat candidate come election day. Let that sink in for a moment.
