When Tony perished in Endgame, it was all we could do not to scream the theatre down. We knew that some characters were getting the boot, but we couldn’t imagine that Iron Man’s snap would be the end of Tony Stark. He had so much left to give, but in the end, he did what he had to do to destroy Thanos. We thought the events of Avengers: Infinity War were bad enough, we never anticipated this!

Now we’ve had some time to decompress, we were finally coming around to the idea that Tony was long gone. Brown bread. Buried in the great hall of heroes, never to be seen again. What we didn’t bank on was a resurrection, but it looks like it’s just been confirmed. In the comic books, Marvel characters are often defeated, then brought back. It happens to some icons multiple times, so much so that dying isn’t really anything much at all. It’s just a little snooze before someone manages to bring you around again.

The idea of Tony Stark gracing our screens again is a beautiful, bittersweet thing that seems too good to be true. However, it looks like we’ll be able to see our favorite superhero on the front line once more. How? Well, until we know for sure, it’s down to us to theorize.
