Admiral Farragut? The first Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral, and Admiral in the U. S. Navy! C'mon Navy Times! This infantryman can come up with a better list than that! Farragut, Halsey, King, Rickover, Spruance, and Leahy for a start. Not because they were admirals, though that is a plus, but because they shaped the Navy.
