That is interesting SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL, For a couple decades there has been a discussion about overweight children and teenagers. It should not be surprising that a proportion of those overweight teenagers joined the military.

Or we could address the true issue, which is that sugar and fructose are being added to almost every possible foodstuff it can be jammed into by the food industry, because they figured out sugar added to a food increases sales. because sugar is actually addictive to the human brain. Sugar is added to almost every loaf of bread in America. In Germany, it is not. And the sugar and grain industries cooperated in the 60's/late 70's to get the finger pointed at fat for the obesity epidemic, and encouraged us to start eating more grains, which is exactly the wrong thing for a person gaining weight to do. Uncontrolled capitalism is literally killing us.
