China's piles of rock have all the tactical capabilities of a navy except for the ability to maneuver. They are "stone" battleships and carriers reminding me of a sort of Maginot Line made up of Fort Drums without the benefit of an interconnecting systems of tunnels for communication between them. Thus I am inclined to wonder if they are strategic annoyances rather than strategic assets.

Attacking those piles of rock would be, to Chines attacking Chinese territory, And that meeans a major F'ng war wight tens or hundreds of thousands dead or the kind of war we have been avoiding since 1945 with hundreds of millions of dead. China is a full blown nuclear power and a major military power.

Some Americans seen to be thinking like the Japanese were before Pearl harbor and that is insane. We might have to go to war with China but not over trivial BS like this.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr I fear that you have wandered into the wrong discussion. No one in this thread has mentioned attacking anyone or anything

Cynthia C. Theirbattidude isbthe same as both other superpowers and the imperial powers before them. Can you state what they are doing that The USSR, the US, the British Empire or even the French have not done? In fact they have been more restrained that most nations in their position and far nicer than the major power were to China. And think about your term arrogant woukd you use that term about of the western powers who have done the same things?

And, as of today, he is correct.
