Tor's monthly free ebook this month is Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey. This is good fantasy that just falls short, imo, of being in the class of Game of Thrones or The Malazan Book of the Fallen (which I consider to be the best fantasy series ever written) series. As usual, I have no affiliation with Tor or the author. Just sharing the freebie.

My pleasure Major. Note that that's the series name. The first book in the series is Gardens of the Moon, Steven Erikson. By far the best military fantasy ever written in my mind, and arguably the best fantasy period.
