Interesting. I've been a fan of Tornadoes and I've been privileged to see a funnel cloud and a waterspout while I was on deployment. Honestly, I think it's a science thing. Where the area is located plus how the storms develop how they can increase with the warm gulf air and the cold from the north, it's a great breeding ground for some severe storms. Not only is OKC a hot spot but looking at that map, it seems that Jackson, MS and east is a hot spot as well. Now there can be flukes of sever storms in portions of the country that hardly ever get tornadoes. I know in Indiana when I was a sophomore in high school, we had a E-3 tornado touchdown and it was Mid-September.

Mother Nature decides or that she just doesn't like OKC.

I personally would move from the area. It's nice country, but that many tornados in the same area. No thank you.
