Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL for providing an overview of military and veteran student success in higher education. I was fully vested for the Vietnam era GI bill but never had a real opportunity to use it before my eligibility expired since my West Point education was fully paid for and I enrolled at George Washington University but had to back out in the summer of 1990 because of my involvement in preparation for Operation Desert Storm.
Technically i am eligible for the post 9/11 GI bill but I have no immediate plans on using it.
