Great question...the cast is made up of mostly Veterans. The director and producing team are not Veterans.
Mikal Vega and Mark Golden: both former Navy SEALS
Max Mullen: former Army Ranger in the Army Ranger Hall of Fame
Andre Jackson: former Recon Marine
Kerry Davis: Former Air Force Medic
Aaron Maudlin: former Marine
Several other veterans in low level acting rolls as well.
