One week til the NEXT shutdown and what is everyone doing? Hard at work in the halls of Congress hammering out deals and negotiations? Nope. Taking a little vacation retreat to West Virginia. This isn't a Democrat or Republican thing, it's a Congress thing. I can already hear the lamentations when the next shutdown is hours away and all the hand-wringing about how the "NEED MORE TIME."

Congress is so childish. Both parties are 'my way or the highway'. Haven't they ever heard of compromise? Instead they'd rather hold the government hostage at our expense.

Unfortunately, compromise seems to be a thing of the past. I'm not sure how we can get it back.......as members from either party that try to practice it, tend to get run out of their party in the next primary.
