The man who lead the country to have the most cases and deaths to COVID in the world? He does not care if Americans are suffering and dying. To him it is what it is.

MAJ Ken Landgren Yes, maybe they were counting on the stockpile that was supposed to be replenished by the previous administration? Wasnt there the whole impeachment charade going on too? The guy has been knee capped before he took office, the proof is out there if you open your eyes for it. The previous administration tried to set him up for collusion, which has been completely false. I am just saying, Trump has been in an ass kicking contest with both legs tied together. Also, if he has been mishandling this pandemic, why is he supplying other countries with necessary items?

Don't blame Obama. Trump had a 1000 days to replenish stocks. Right or wrong, is Trump and his administration too stupid to deal with a pandemic? There are 2 million federal employees. The fact of the matter is hospitals around the country ran out of PPEs and masks. He failed. They lacked the intelligence, institutional knowledge, and vision to use plans for National Emergencies that existed at the time. At least Custer had a plan but Trump did not have a plan.

Planning for a National Emergency or Pandemic is like planning for a large battle.
1. Make an early and accurate assessment of the threat.
- What happened? Trump lied about the threat for weeks.
2. DHS starts early planning with input from various requisite Federal Cabinets and Agencies like FEMA, Treasury, DOD, Army Corps of Engineers, Health and Human Services, Commerce, and NGOs in regards to supporting states and setting up communications with the states.
- What happened? DHS started planning in late March.
3. Order supplies early like PPEs and masks.
- What happened? Ordering PPEs and masks were addressed in late March.
4. Sustain operations and refine the plan.
- What happened? The US never established a national testing plan. Ordering PPEs and
masks falls upon the states so now 50 states are competing for PPEs and masks. The country was opened up and Trump's stance on masks runs counter to the advice of the CDC.
This is why our pandemic response was absolutely miserable. We dicked around for weeks with inaction. South Korea has less than 500 deaths. Why the delta? Their government planned in February and executed a national testing program which facilitated contact tracing. They had a jump on the pandemic while Trump lied about the pandemic finally called National Emergency in the middle of March, then we decided to plan.

This is for you Trumpers: October 13 the White House confirmed that it is embracing what the Los Angeles Times editorial board calls the “let people die” strategy in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The strategy involves deliberately letting the novel coronavirus rip through the population while attempting to shield the most vulnerable, such as the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions.
