Trump and Putin will be cordial. I see them working together on issues they share common interests in, and trying to not antagonize each other in other areas. It is in our mutual best interest to get along.

I can see plenty of good reasons for swinging from China to Russia. Russia has natural resources, plenty of them and we have the capital and know how to develop them to our mutual benefit. China has long envied those resources and would love to "appropriate" them.

A lot is being said about the potential for Trump and Putin being friends or foes in the next few years. Truth is, nobody knows. Hindsight being 20/20, we could, as the article, give plenty of historical examples, but there are plenty more out there disproving the same. It's like trying to undo a car crash by driving backwards. Yup, I said it.... it is as stupid as it sounds. As I told my wife before the elections: No matter who is elected president, we still have to get up each morning and go to work as usual. All we can do is vote when it is time and write our representatives when and AFTER something we don't agree with is said or happens. Last time I checked, speculations don't occur .....yet?
