DOD, cut funding. There no reason the paper cannot pay for itself. When I wanted to read it I have always paid the going price. Same for the Army Times.

Nobody was reading it anyway. I didn’t even read it while deployed. Most people get their news online.

Up to the 1980's this paper had some relevance. Today given the plethora of sources we have available which includes our military members, it has lost it import. Our men and women in uniform are informed and intelligent enough to formulate their viewpoints and make individual decisions without this paper. It is time to eliminate it and allocate funds to other military programs or to stop funding what has become a dinosaur with respect to media sources. I was in the military for the time period 1973-1983 and saw even then the horizon for sunsetting the Stars and Stripes.
