If public education is so great then why do colleges offer remedial classes to students?

CPT Daniel Goodman, I agree with your thoughts. Technology and distractions are an issue. I personally believe the US education machine has veered from creating productive individuals to indoctrination of a preferred ideology of liberalism. I was fortunate to attend a public, private, and religious high school. Those three are distinctly different in education models. At best the public high school was an adult day care facility. The private college prep school was extremely challenging. The Catholic HS was the most diverse of all three by subjects offered and the demographics of students. In the end, it is not Mrs. Davos that has undermined education. The system is a failed model. And yet one party needs it to remain a failed system in order to attract future "victims" of our evil American empire.

LTC (Join to see) - No, but I have relatives and close friends who taught for decades, starting in the '60's an '70's. Almost none of them worked into their 60's. Most quit as soon as they had the minimum years required to retire.
