Not a good idea.

First, it would signal the first time Trump rolled over to what basically amounts to Media pressure (which is why the Establishment Republicans are pressing him to cave).

Second, Khashoggi wasn't a "journalist" except in the very loosest terms. He was a school chum of Osama bin Laden and an al-Qaeda propagandist. His Death, while brutal, benefits Saudi and US Security. This established fact is covered over by the Leftist media because (a) it doesn't fit the narrative that undermines Trump, and (b) they have had more in common with the enemy than they have had with the nation that provides them succor.

Third, undermining the Crown Prince undermines Saudi Arabia and threatens a stable transition of power when it is time for the Crown Prince to assume the throne. Because we left the Bretton-Woods Gold Standard and went to a fiat currency, we have relied on the Saudis to underpin the value of the US Dollar as the Worlds Reserve Currency. Anything that threatens the House of Saud effectively threatens OUR economic stability (unless we're prepared to shutter the Federal Reserve Bank and return to the Gold Standard).

Whoa. Lay off the Fox & Friends there, chief. Khashoggi was a journalist who had no interest in perpetuating state propaganda. He was killed for being critical of the Saudi government. If you think that makes him (and every journalist who doesn't share your opinions) an "enemy," then you sir have had more than your share of kool-aid.

Capt Dwayne Conyers Unfortunately Our Relationship with Saudi Arabia goes back over several Presidents and Several Generations, I don't see Us breaking with the Kingdom especially this Administration. We Definitely Screwed the Pooch with Operation Ajax in 1953 We would have been Better Off in the Long Run Developing a Relationship with a Socialist Iran.
