Sorry but that carrier deal still is on my mind and this Daily Show Clip is funny in a way..
But lets look at the Carrier deal by the numbers on a serious note.
1000 jobs supposedly saved
850 Jobs overall staying
350 of which were never leaving
500 in total saved, of which will be going away anyway due to automation
$7,000,000 in tax breaks over 10 years given to save a grand total of 500 jobs which will be going away anyway as they reinvest in automation.
Basically its a net loss when you break down the numbers IMO.

I guess you just cannot accept good news and run with it because you do not like the source if it. The jobs were leaving for Mexico, they are not leaving now. Carrier is investing 16 million in a new facility in Indiana. Will automation have an impact on jobs in the future, yes, it always does.
What exactly did you hero (Obama) do to intervene to get a better deal for the Americans impacted by this. The answer is nothing.
The Daily Show and Noah are shills for the left. He leads with unemployment numbers with no mention of workforce participation rates of over 95 million. Oops forgot to mention that. He then goes on the attack on Trump. He looks more like MSNBC than comedy. This isn't comedy it is a political attack on a "comedy" show. The reason Unemployment is at an all time low is the BHO Admin changed the criteria of what it is to be unemployed so they skewed the stats in their favor.

The government can always intervene directly with taxpayer money to greenmail a company into keeping some jobs in the US. While it makes for some great PR for his supporters, it isn't sustainable or good for the country. The government doesn't collect enough money to greenmail all companies to stop the macro economic factors that are incentivizing them to move those jobs overseas in the first place.
It is expensive kabuki theater at the taxpayer's expense. It is not a particularly illustrious start given the debt situation of our government.

He is a showman and thats fine and looks good, but unfortunately the substance behind these deals is something to be desired... I am sure he will get better once he learns how the government machine works.... he may affect change, but he will not overturn over 200 years of political environment... Pres Obama barely moved 6" in that regard
