It's an older article (August 2015) - but after hearing people in South Carolina being interviewed before this weekend's primary and the oft comparison of Trump to President Reagan made me wonder where are people getting this comparison? President Reagan was an established politician by the time he was elected to the White House - he had been involved in politics in some form since 1948 and held an elected office in 1967. There's no comparison in my opinion - unless we're comparing the fact that President Reagan was once a movie star and Trump is a reality tv star?

LTC (Join to see) Thank you. You're right, some people have been trying to use the ruse that they are both public speakers, were on television series, political outsiders, dismissed as serious candidates, started as Democrats, and that both have been divorced as similarities. While these are similarities they are NOT the same as having the same political ideology, experience, life experiences, demeanor, political understanding, and negotiating skills.
