She does have experience in government (although at the state level). That said, I'm not sure I want her to represent veterans - I don't think she has the correct demeanor for it.

As a follow-up comment, if the appointment is to satisfy a political favor, then find some other agency for that. The VA should not be a spot to offer as a political favor.

Ehh, I hope it works out. While she's not a very standout choice, I do believe in her commitment to Veterans and hopefully that leads to a successful tenure.
