That's funny because from my foxhole in cyber, we've been getting more money and resources then we ever have. Now if he wants to argue we could have gotten more by not building a wall, ok... But if I recall, all that money was diverted from a slew of non-cyber programs which IK believe YOU linked reports on months/years ago. Sounds to me like this is his opinion as he does not know or understand what leaps have been accomplished and what actions are being taken in cyber. We're actually doing some pretty cool stuff. But as you should know, noting all your comments about having worked somewhat close to this community. In many ways, cyber can be like playing wack a mole.

This FBI Deputy is counter-intel, not cyber. But hey, it is nice for him to notice we are under attack. We only have been in cyber since long before I started my career in the 90s. His understanding of the recent incident (and those of many on RP by the way) also demonstrates his lack of knowledge of the subject, how the hackers penetrated the government systems through "trusted" resources, and our government's cyber response capabilities.

This is nothing more than an exercise in pointing fingers for political points. Or maybe that's why he's listed as "former" FBI Deputy.
