Well at least we have the satisfaction that, since knows nothing about nuclear warfare, he is following the advice of his military advisors who do. Really nothing surprising here, our stockpile has needed modernization for years and article doesnt talk about anything new that Trump is pushing. What he may do is actually get funding for what has been in the rumble seat of military budgets for years.

*NOBODY* knows about nuclear warfare since we’ve never experienced it... it’s all conjecture, speculation, and theory based on two planned events and a handful of accidents.
Bringing back weapons systems voluntarily abandoned by previous administrations and modernizing them is a good step.

Won't necessarily argue that, but experts on nuclear warfare exist. Don't have to experience something to know about it. My background in SAC qualified me to speak and plan for nuclear combat. Some nuclear weapons make sense to bring back, others don't, like SADM for example

@lt col john Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen i will bow to your superior knowledge... but with respect sir, it’s the difference between being told about a swift kick in the nuts and actually being the recipient...
With respect :-)

4 GPS satellites and good navigational AI can make a snap-shot possible.
SRTM and all the high-res mapping happening over the last couple of decades improves the accuracy & navigational capability even more...
