Gosh......why shouldn't we believe Putin? I'm sure he has our best interests at heart. He's a swell guy......rides a horse and everything! So what if he has his political opponents poisoned.....they didn't appreciate his greatness and probably deserved to die. And if he wants to take over a few smaller countries.....let him. He'll treat those people well. We need to tell our intelligence people to shut up.....they are hurting Putin's feelings.

SSgt Gary Andrews - Nobody ever claimed he is our friend, talk about a straw-man argument! What he is is the leader of strategically significant country whose interests might align with ours in some narrow respects. Trump recognizes this, you apparently do not. At some point, you lefties need to acknowledge the current situation and ask yourselves how to move forward, rather than so blindly hanging on to a failing fictional narrative.
Perhaps it would make you feel better if Trump sat on his ass and did nothing? That's pretty much what Obama did. I always thought you lefties liked that because it was Obama that was doing it, but perhaps I misread things and you just really like doing nothing as a foreign policy.

Doing nothing is not a great option, but it is better than doing the wrong thing. I'm not advocating doi ng nothing.....he should be implementing the sanctions passed by congress and holding Putin's feet to the fire. Why has he not done that?

SSgt Gary Andrews - Well, I'll agree with you that doing nothing is better than doing the wrong thing. Fortunately for me, I see Trump's foreign policy as a massive improvement over everything done by Obama (and Bush and Clinton for that matter).

Marget He was being sarcastic, but with current poltics some here are pushiong statements statement as truth and saying that the Russian are out friends and the CIA and FBI are our enemies. that particular delusion is being pushed by the trumpian cult.
