Directly from the article, “After the midshipmen took their oath of office as Navy ensigns and Marine second lieutenants, the president emerged from the covered stage into the rain to shake the hand of each graduate collecting a diploma. "Folks in the Navy don't mind a little water," the president joked in his speech. The rain stopped just before the whooping graduates threw their caps in the air to end the ceremony.”

Obama speaks at Naval Academy graduation
With a growing sexual assault epidemic staining the military, President Barack Obama urged U.S. Naval Academy graduates Friday to remember their honor depends on what they do when nobody is looking and said the crime has "no place in the greatest military on earth."
Directly from the article, “During the presentation of diplomas, Obama shook the hand of each graduate and, in many cases, the hand of the military family member who came on stage to help present commission papers. He kissed the cheek of at least one cadet, Proctor, and stood to pose and wave in just about any direction the graduate pointed.”

Coast Guard cadets get presidential send-off
Danielle Rae Brown, of Westport, was 30th in line in the class of 229 newly-minted Coast Guard ensigns Wednesday when it came her turn to shake hands with President Barack Obama. Obama, who arrived late but stayed for the entire two-hour commencement ceremony, told the Class of 2011 they looked fantastic and talked about how the U.S. Coast Guard has played an important role in his presidency. Yes, the Coast Guard may be the smallest of our...
Directly from the article, “In shaking hands with every single member of the Class of 2008, the president once again displayed a playful nature with a variety of responses to graduates' requests center stage. Are you noticing a trend? This is just kind of...what happens at graduations. Particularly at US Military Academy graduations. Everyone gets to mesh the flesh with the Commencement Speaker (And a bunch of other folks). Again, nothing wrong with the current President shaking everyone’s hand.
But respectfully, this is fake news. In the sense that it’s not particularly newsworthy. Not because it isn’t a good thing. But because it’s the commonplace, regular thing. It’s expected. Its certainly not unexpected. It’s like writing a news headline, “Michael Jordan scores a slam dunk in the 4th quarter with his team winning by 50 and 10 seconds left.” The slam dunk is hardly the key point of the story, and of course he did, because that’s what Michael Jordan does. (If you noticed, in each of the articles about presidents bush and Obama, their was just a quick blurb about shaking every hand. It wasn’t the headline of the article. Much like a Jordan dunk with 10 seconds left shouldn’t be the headline of a sports article. It’s a detail of the story).
Best of luck
