Veterans served their country faithfully, they don't need to be left out in the cold when it comes to health care.

Well the program is there, just no money to fund it so administration can say they passed bills to help Vets.

Nothing new.
We finally got some needed veterans' relief legislation through the Michigan legislature (we finally had to call the Detroit, Lansing and Grand Rapids media to cover us picketing the Capitol), with the Reps (controlling the Senate) and Dems (controlling the House) smiling at each other with clenched jaws. (Neither side wanted to allow the other to take credit for helping veterans, so ...) (Plus, there was spending all that money on a relatively worthless project...)
So next year, they quietly de-funded the program.
Todo solucionado.
