Blumenthal did not serve in Nam. His prevaricating about it for political gain is but specious and vile.

There's a big difference between serving "in" and "during". The Senator seems to have forgotten to add the "dur" and "g". No one would have thought the lesser of him had he not embellished his service. By embellishing his service he became nothing more than a "Poser".
Granted both received several deferments, but Trump is worse. He denigrated all Vietnam veterans. For Trump to say his personal Vietnam was sleeping around and not catching a social disease and that he considered himself a very brave soldier for this. It is an insult to all those of us that did serve in Vietnam.
