So...Once again he seeks to violate the spirit and letter of the Constitution once he becomes President. It still baffles me how Trump supporters also claim to be "Constitutionalists" considering how many times he has said he would violate the Constitution as President.

Understanding basic civics and taking an Oath are not part of any ideology. What if the "ideology" test were used to bar immigrants from a particular faith, or political view? Both are violations of the Constitution. One does not have to support gay rights to be a citizen. If that were the case, then many on here would be stripped of their citizenship. The same can be said about abortion, civil rights, women's rights, and a host of other political views. It is the right of every American, however wrong and misguided, to be as intolerant as they want to be. To make it a part of a test for immigration would be to violate the Freedom of Speech and Religion that these immigrants are coming here to exercise.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think being intolerant is a good thing, but I recognize the right of everyone to be intolerant. I also know that conservatives like to cloak their agendas in ways that make them sound benign. If Trump wants a "test" support for tolerance and pluralism, then he most likely will enact a test for the exact opposite.

TSgt Anthony Elmer - That does not mean that it was Constitutional then, or now. It was just never challenged in court. We interned Japanese-Americans during WWII, does that make interning Muslims now the right thing to do? Past mistakes do not justify future mistakes.

So, if the internment camps were done by a Congressional Act, signed by the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court, it wouldn't have been a gross violation of the civil rights of American Citizens? Can you really make that assertion?
Agreement between all 3 branches does not make it right, and, as pointed out by the Conservatives, the Supreme Court has been wrong before.

Sure sounds like a Violation of the Spirit of the Constitution Article VI Clause 3 but I guess since they are not running for Office and just seeking to be US Citizens, He thinks that makes it OK. God this Man is an Anti-Constitutionalist Sleaze Ball.
